Target: Reduced Intrusion Related Gold System (RIRGS)
The Rye property is located within the traditional territory of the Ross River Dena Council, 14 km from the North Canol Road, between two mid-Cretaceous granitic intrusions – the Itsi and Itsi East plutons – in the eastern portion of Yukon’s Tombstone Gold Belt.
Tin-lead-zinc-silver veins were discovered at the Rye property by Hudson Bay Mining in 1950 as part of a regional exploration program that subsequently identified the nearby MacPass camp of sedex zinc-lead-barite deposits being advanced by Fireweed Metals 15km to the north of the property. In 2011 and 2012 Strategic Metals collected several gold rich samples in the vicinity of an intrusive-metasedimentary contact in the southern part of the property with grade up to 8.37 g/t gold (the Fuller Zone). Soil surveys conducted by Strategic Metals and subsequently expanded by Trifecta Gold in 2024 identified an area of coincident of gold-bismuth-telurium-arsenic straddling this contact zone.
In 2025 Trifecta Gold tested the Fuller Zone with 6 drill holes directed towards areas of densely sheeted quartz-tourmaline±arsenopyrite veins, located in and around the reduced, mid-Cretaceous Itsi Pluton:
